Looking ahead to the week of March 27 (Week A)

Students completed self reflections for the third nine weeks.  They will go home in your child's communication folder next week.  Please review these reflections and set academic/behavior goals for the last quarter of third grade with your child.

Hi, families!  I hope you all had a wonderful week!

LIFESKILL of the week:  Common Sense - Encourage your child to celebrate ways of showing the LIFESKILL of common sense!

Report cards:  Report cards will be issued Thursday, March 30.  Please take a moment to review your child's progress with him/her, as well as, the reflections made in the report card comments section.  Please sign and return the report card sleeve.  You may keep the report card.

Looking ahead to next week:  As historians, students will learn about 20th century changes in South Carolina.  They will not take a traditional unit test, since this unit is so short.  Students will complete a booklet for a grade.  As mathematicians, they will continue learning about area.  We will be using the Envision curriculum for this unit, so please see the family letter below.  As readers, students will review elements of stories, such as theme, literal/nonliteral language, and main idea and details.  As writers, they will continue to study opinion writing and revisit capitalization rules, along with spelling patterns.

Thank you again for all that you do!  Have a great weekend!
