Looking ahead to the week of March 6 (Week B)

Ms. DeGracia stopped by to say, "Goodbye" during morning meeting Wednesday!  You will now be able to visit her at the public library on the campus of R2i2!  Thank you for your 15 years at BRES, Ms. DeGracia!

Mrs. Nord visited our classroom to share her favorite Dr. Suess book, in celebration of Read Across America week!

The children enjoyed a Geechee guest speaker, who taught them about the Gullah language and culture!

Hi, families! I hope you all had a great week!

LIFESKILL of the week:  Curiosity - Encourage your child to celebrate ways of showing the LIFESKILL of curiosity!

Looking ahead to next week:  As historians, students will continue learning about the Civil War.  As mathematicians, they will wrap up their study of geometry.  We will be using the Envision curriculum for this unit, so please see the family letter below.  As readers, students will learn how to use context clues, when identifying meanings of unknown words.  As writers, they kick off an opinion writing study, complete the r-controlled spelling pre-assessment, and revisit different types of sentences.

Thank you again for all of your support!  Have a great weekend!
