Looking ahead to the week of November 20 (Week B)

Students celebrated Veterans Day with a school assembly and parade.  We honor all of our veterans and thank you for your service!

Hi, families!  I hope you all have enjoyed your weekend.  I know the kids are getting really excited about their upcoming break.  Please continue to encourage them to do their personal best, both academically and behaviorally.

Impact Aid Forms:  Richland School District Two schools are funded primarily by local taxes. Due to the large federal presence in our area our district is eligible to apply for federal Impact Aid Funds. Impact Aid is a federal program designed to assist local school districts that enroll federally connected students.  Impact Aid Program Survey Forms will be distributed to all students  in Thursday's folders. Please take a few minutes and complete the form for each Bookman student in your house and return it back by Friday. The information you provide on these forms is confidential.  Thank you for supporting Bookman and Richland 2.

A heartfelt thank you:  Thank you so much for all of the notes and surcees you've showered me with during American Education Week.  I'm overwhelmed by your love and support!  It means more to me than you'll ever know.  I'm grateful to be a part of your child's life!  I hope that I make as big of a difference in their lives, as they do in mine.

Jump Rope for Heart:  The last day to turn in donations for Jump Rope for Heart is Tuesday, November 21.  Thank you to everyone, who has donated toward a wonderful cause!

Report Cards:  Please be sure to sign and return the report card envelope.  Several students have still not returned the envelopes.  You may keep the contents!

Second "Being There Experience" payment reminder:  If you chose to pay for your child's field trips in two payments, please be sure to send in the second payment.  It was due last Thursday.  You may also choose to pay online.

Looking ahead to next week:  'Tis the season for reflecting upon life and appreciating what we have!  Students will create a thankful book, which they'll be able to take home and share with their families.  As mathematicians, they will continue to learn about using known facts to figure out multiplication problems.  We will be using the Envision curriculum for this unit, so please see the family letter below. As readers and writers, the children will wrap up their colonial informational books and share the in an author's celebration.

Thank you again for all of your support!  Have a great weekend!
