Students enjoyed their "Being There Experience" at the State House. They loved seeing where the legislative and executive branches work to write and carry out laws.

Looking ahead to next week: As scientists, students will continue learning about heat and matter. As mathematicians, they will learn about angles, polygons, and ways in which they can combine shapes to make new ones. We will use Envision (Topic 11) for this unit. Please check out the family letter below. As readers, students will discuss using context clues. As writers, they'll learn about the use of idioms, metaphors, and personification in writing. They will also continue working on an opinion piece with a partner.
