Looking ahead to the week of November 19 (STEM)

Our class joined Dr. Hill for a Camp Out last week!  She read aloud a fun camping story, as a part of our Young Readers' Week celebration!

 

We salute you!  Thank you to all of the Veterans, who have served our country.  We loved seeing many of you at our Veterans Day breakfast last week.  We hope you enjoyed our appreciation letters!

 

Several friends in our class are a part of BRE's chorus... They sure did shine at last week's Veterans Day performance!  We are proud of you all!

LIFESKILL of the week:  The LIFESKILL of the week is pride!  Discuss examples of pride with your child and celebrate moments of using this LIFESKILL while at school, home, and out and about in the community.

Report Cards:  Please be sure to sign and return the report card sleeve, as soon as possible, and keep the contents of the sleeve.  Several sleeves have not been turned in!

Communication folders:  Communication folders will not go home the week of November 19.  Communication folders will be distributed November 29.  

Looking ahead to next week:  As scientists, students will continue our "Don't Take it for Granite" unit and learn about different types of landforms.  As mathematicians, they will wrap up their study of using known facts to figure out multiplication problems.  We will be using the Envision curriculum for this unit, so please see the family letter below. As readers and writers, the children will wrap up their colonial pictures books.
