Looking ahead to the week of January 14 (STEM)

We thoroughly enjoyed our Winter Celebration!  Thank you so much, Mrs. Edwards, for organizing our party and to all of the parents and grandparents, who volunteered their time and resources!

Hi, families!

Half day:  Students have a half day Friday, January 18.  If your child's transportation changes, please be sure to send a note!  Also, lunch will be served.

PTO presentation letter:  Please be on the look out for a letter going home in your child's communication folder Thursday, January 10, regarding our upcoming PTO performance.  Please sign and return the letter, as soon as possible!  Students will be singing Monday, January 28.  Students may be dropped off in the music room at 5:45.  They are asked to wear jeans and a white shirt.

PTO songs:  Please check out these links, so students can continue practicing their songs for our PTO presentation!

Diamond Del:  A permission brochure will be going home with your child Thursday, January 10.  Please sign and return the form, as soon as possible!  Your child may bring money to purchase items mentioned in the brochure from Diamond Del Wednesday, January 16, if you'd like.  The "Being Here Experience" payment covered Diamond Del's visit.

Looking ahead to next week:  As scientists, students will continue studying rocks and their properties.  As mathematicians, they will continue learning about fractions.  We will be using the Engage New York curriculum for this unit, so please see the family letter below.   As readers, the children will continue to look into figurative language.   As writers, they will wrap up their study of quotation marks, as well as, continuing their informational essays.  They will also be learning how to complete a text-dependent analysis.

Thank you again for all of your support!
