A note from first grade: First grade is collecting money for K-9 officers! They'll accept donations through the end of March!
Looking ahead to next week: As historians, students will continue learning about the Antebellum Period in South Carolina. They will not have a traditional test on this unit. Instead, they will answer questions, which go along with our reading in class, and turn in a booklet. They'll also start studying the Civil War. As mathematicians, they'll study perimeter. We will be using the Envisions curriculum, so please see the family letter below. As readers, students learn how to identify the main idea of the story and its details. As writers, they will continue their opinion writing unit and study complex sentences, while reviewing conjunctions.
