Looking ahead to the week of October 3 (Week B)

Students enjoyed a visit from Riverbanks on the Road.  They learned about different ecosystems.

Hello, families!

United Way campaign:  We are doing a Pie in the Face fundraiser, where students can donate any loose change or cash to one of the buckets in the Media Center. Which ever face gets the most money donated will get a pie to the face live on Airwaves. The Buckets will be in the Media Center for the next week.  Students may also still donate at least $1 to wear a hat Friday, September 30!

Looking ahead to next week:  As scientists, students will wrap up their plant unit and take a closer look at plant adaptations. As mathematicians, the children will kick off their first unit on multiplication.  It is a short unit.  Students will receive a study guide Monday.  It will be due Friday, October 7.  They will have a test the following Tuesday.  Be sure to check out our Topic 4 family letter below.  In reading, students will learn about main ideas in nonfiction passages.  As writers, they will learn about future-tense verbs, as well as, narrative elements.  Students, who missed any words on their kindergarten high-frequency word spelling pre-test at the beginning of the month, will take a post-assessment on the missed words Tuesday.

Thank you again for all of your support!  You're the best!
