Looking ahead to the week of September 26 (Week A)

Students enjoyed going to the Book Fair!  Thank you to all of the volunteers, who helped to make it possible!

Hello, families!

Field Trip payments:  Students will be taking their first "Being There Experience" tomorrow!  Please sign and return the payment form, as soon as possible!  It went home in your child's communication folder three weeks ago.  The first (or full) payment was due Thursday, September 8.

Fall Fundraiser:  Thank you for taking part in our Fall Fundraiser!  Remember, packets are due Friday, September 23.

Homework:  Can you believe it's already the middle of the first nine weeks?  Your child's homework effort grades are updated in Parent Portal.  They will be updated every nine weeks at interim time, as well as, the end of the term.

Looking ahead to next week:  As scientists, students will wrap up their animal unit and begin a plant unit.  They will study plant adaptations. As mathematicians, the children will revisit subtraction algorithms.  Be sure to check out our Topic 3 family letter below.  In reading, students will finish a CLOSE reading article on the regions of South Carolina.  They will break down the article using the TWISTS model.  As writers, they will learn about concrete and abstract nouns, as well as, narrative elements.

Thank you again for all of your support and enthusiasm!  Have a wonderful weekend!
