Looking ahead to the week of May 12

Students enjoyed their last "Being There Experience" to the State Museum.  They enjoyed a walk through South Carolina history, as well as, natural history.

Hi, families!  I hope you all are enjoying your week so far!

Looking ahead:  Students will begin mystery book clubs, in reading.  As historians and scientists, they will begin developing board games for units taught throughout the year.  As writers, they will continue working on cursive handwriting.  In math, students will learn how to use the fewest coins possible, when making change. Please continue to encourage your child to practice his/her facts every day!  It is very important for students to have a great grasp on basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts!  Students will continue to have mixed operation quizzes throughout the rest of the school year.  Ms. Guntupalli will be joining us to start a Junior Achievement program, which will carry out through the next few weeks.

Homework Heads-Up:  Students will  receive a new homework packet or reading log Friday, May 9. This packet and reading log will be due Friday, May 16.

A thank you:  Thank you to everyone, who donated toward SCPASS breakfast and snacks.  It all makes testing a little bit sweeter!  A special thanks to Ms. Hart for organizing all of the items!

Thank you again for all that you do!  Have a great week!
