Looking ahead to the week of May 19

Ready?  Set?  Let's celebrate!
We look forward to seeing you all at the Bookman Blast Friday, May 16!

Hi, families!  Can you believe it?  SCPASS testing is over and we only have four weeks left in the school year!  Time flies, when you are having fun!

Looking ahead:  Students will continue book clubs, in reading.  As historians and scientists, they will continue developing board games for units taught throughout the year.  As writers, they will continue working on cursive handwriting.  In math, students will continue to learn how to use the fewest coins possible, when making change. Please continue to encourage your child to practice his/her facts every day!  It is very important for students to have a great grasp on basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts!  Students will continue to have mixed operation quizzes throughout the rest of the school year.

From the bottom of my heart:  Thank you to everyone, who donated items for our Multiplication Celebration!  I know the kids will enjoy everything Friday, May 16.  My sincerest appreciation to those of you, who were able to volunteer your time at the Bookman Blast, as well!  If you are still able to help, please contact Ms. Hart, as soon as possible!  I believe we still have slots open.  Lastly, thank you for all of the kind words and gifts during Teacher Appreciation Week!  They mean more to me than you know!  I'm such a lucky person to be surrounded by such wonderful children each day!  They are my Beacons of light!

Thank you again for all that you do!  Have a wonderful week!
