Looking ahead to the week of November 28 (Week B)

Students learned ways humans affect the environment!  They discussed how people can reduce, reuse, and recycle every day items, as a way of helping conserve our natural resources.  They reused items like milk cartons, tape, and glue sticks, to create new inventions.

Hi, families!

Looking ahead to next week:  As scientists, students will learn about fossils with Fossil Frank.  They will test on the Earth features' unit Tuesday, November 29.  A study guide went home Monday, November 21 and is due Monday, November 28.  Students will then kick off a study about the three types of rocks and will enjoy in-class simulations of each type of rock.  As mathematicians, they will start learning about division.  We will be using the Envision curriculum for this unit, so please see the family letter below. As readers, students will learn about character traits and how they change through the course of a story.  As writers, they will revisit expository writing and learn about commas.

Thank you again for all of your support!  Have a wonderful fall/Thanksgiving break with your sweet families!
