Looking ahead to the week of October 14 (PE)

Stuents enjoyed a culminating project at the end of our ecosystems unit, using Google Drawing!

Stuents shared their amazing narratives in small groups!

Hello, families!

LIFESKILL of the week:  The LIFESKILL of the week is friendship!  Discuss examples of friendship with your child and celebrate moments of using this LIFESKILL while at school, home and out and about in the community.

Homework reminder:  Students will receive a new homework sheet this Thursday!

"Fill the Boot!":  Kindergarten is trying to "fill the boot!"  If you have any extra change or dollars that you would like to donate to help local firefighters, please have your child bring in the money during the month of October!

Looking ahead to next week:  As historians, students will continue learning about Native Americans in South Carolina.  As mathematicians, the children will wrap up their first unit on multiplication toward the end of the week.  It is a short unit, but go ahead and start practicing those multiplication facts!  They'll have their second individual multiplication quiz on the 2s tables next week!  Be sure to check out our Topic 4 family letter below.  In reading, students will work on comprehension, as well as, plot through a Treasures reading story.  As writers, they will learn about adjectives and plurals through a mentor sentence, as well as, wrap up their Veterans Day letters of appreciation, which will be handed out at our military breakfast, as a part of our grade level service.  Students will also be introduced to our next writing unit (opinion writing).

Thank you again for all of your support!  You're the best!
